The name
Eilífur
In Icelandic, eilífur means eternal. It is also the name of a palagonite mountain in Northeast Iceland's Mývatnsöræfi — a place where the earth still breathes, and of deep personal significance for us. Everything we make is an attempt to hold something of that earth forever.
