A remote volcanic caldera deep in the central highlands, accessible only in summer across the vast black lava desert of Ódáðahraun. Inside the caldera, the explosion crater Víti — 'Hell' in Icelandic — holds a pool of geothermally heated milky-blue water at over 1,100 metres altitude.
